[He shrugs again.] It's something to do. And you never know when it could come in handy.

[Scrad says. Charlie clarifies:]

Anything. And if we have to do something: definitely not learning.

That's a depressing attitude to have.

[Charlie asks. Because they genuinely don't see it.]

You learn new stuff every day. I don't mean you need to love language or math or science or history, but just sitting around not doing anything's kind of pathetic.
